Todd has been experiencing the joys of sailing for over 20 years. Beyond the technical aspects of sailing, he loves the history and challenge of using the basic elements of wind and water to get where he wants to go. He has introduced many people to sailing, including his kids and their friends. In his own words, "I've loved the romance of sailing since I was young. I love the pure tradition of a wooden hull carving through the sea swell, taught halyards running between the squeaky blocks of a brass pulley, the humming vibration of the tiller in my hand, the flapping luff of the sail as you bring it round. Salt spray in my face, knife clenched between my teeth...funky old words like Av'ast there matey!"
